Matrix has adopted the High er Launch Low er Torque shaft for a reason. If you are looking for a high launch, low spin shaft to elevate your game, this is a shaft definitely worth looking at. Return to Golf Gear Select Home.
Hopefully you found this review helpful. If so, please take a few moments to help us allow other golfers find our site! I just picked up a Calloway FT-i 9. Absolutely love it!! Would like to try regular but have heard shaft is a bit whippy. Your opinion? Thanks Rich. Rich, did you ever decide on a shaft? I purchased a TM Burner Superfast 2. I appear to hit is decently I can carry about — depending upon my irregular swing and usually have total distance of — and sometimes crank one I hit my 7 iron about again give or take with regular shafts.
I work full-time seasonal retired at a new golf course in Delaware, and have been back into golf for the last 3 years.
I have tried many clubs and many many shafts. This thing sold me from the first day on the range…Nice loft, super carry, and very low spin……. Great for a smooth slow swing. Their x is more like a stiff, the stiff is more like a regular and so on. My recommendation is get fitted. I also have a mph swing speed and their are multiiple choices to choose from. How does it play to flex? I am trying to decide whether to order a stiff flex tipped 1" or an x-stiff untipped.
I have hit them side by side so i would be careful going with the stock one IF your expecting it to play like the real one. This shaft feels like a blueboard but spins WAY less. I was getting a nice mid launch and very low spin today. Good thing as it was blowing 35mph from the south and plenty of holes are into the wind. It plays true to flex IMO. It had the best combination of feel, accuracy and launch conditions for my swing. I hope it works just as well for you TCMP.
Ping G Max It would seem that if a person has hit a golf ball correctly a thousand times, he should be able to duplicate the performance at will. But such is certainly not the case. How come everyone says they are the same thing, but with the "TP" graphics? How where they different in your opinion? It's really a great feeling shaft. You noticed the. I play a HD6, and I like it a lot. The feel and flight of the HD are solid. I might pick on up because I cannot leave well enough alone.
Mid ballflight and very penetrating. Feels very nice too. Just a little kick to it. Like I mentioned earlier, like a tipped blueboard.
The RIP is a good shaft, but the feel isn't there for me. It is an incredible feeling shaft. I just happened to also buy a I also prefer a 7x gram shaft in my drivers, and it is a Strong flex vs.
I have a spare HD6 sitting around here I'm thinking about putting in a G15 head. I just ordered the HD6 for my D2 hoping to get the spin down a bit, but have also read great things about the Oban, just hoping I dont regret my decision. Currently playing the Miyazaki Balck which I love but I had to have an aftermarket tip in it and I dont think its giving me the proper adjustments, so I was looking for something similar in feel, spin and trajectory.
Can't imagine anyone regretting the HD6. Just a wonderful shaft. The R11 had the 'ahina in it and I liked it a lot, also had a whiteboard in the D and liked it a lot, but once again, I'm going back to the HD6. I find it to be much more "mid launch" than low. I'd also say it's closer to "high launch" than "low launch", but that's me and that was with the Stiff flex untipped.
Spin wise, it's awesome. Control wise, again, awesome. My miss is a slight fade and it happens more rarely with the HD6 than it does with the 'ahina. Need next day? Cannot be shipped First Class International due to package And are the responsibility of buyer!
